Ant & Dec:
They both have a good tone and pace when it comes to
presenting, whether it’s I’m a Celebrity get me out of Here or Britain’s got
Talent, they always manage to keep their fun bubbly personalities, which is
displayed mostly through their voices. They always make a great use of pauses
if they are telling a joke and they will always remember to maintain a good
tone and volume when presenting, this will obviously vary depending on the
style of the TV programme, yet this is probably why everyone enjoys their
programmes so much.
Holly Willoughby:
Another
presenter who I enjoy listening to is Holly Willoughby. A presenter on This
Morning, Dancing on Ice, The Voice, Celebrity Juice and Xtra Factor, Holly
Willoughby is an accomplished host and a household name. I feel that she has very
well balanced pace and pitch. Her volume and tone varies, depending on what TV
programme she is presenting in the moment and what kind of story she is talking
about in the moment. Another thing I’ve noticed about Holly Willoughby is that
she is good at adding emphasis to a certain word or even sentence but she doesn’t
just constantly add emphasis she always makes sure to add it where it’s
appropriate.
Boris Johnson:
One public speaker I'm not very fond of is Boris Johnson. This is because, I don't really like the kind of tone he uses when he speaks, and he never seems to change the way he speaks when it comes to volume, pitch and pace. This is probably why quite a lot of people find him boring and not a very interesting person to listen to. It might be because of the certain topics he speaks about as a politician, therefore he can't really use much emphasis or different volumes when he speaks. However I do not like the way he talks.
Ed Miliband:
Another public speaker I don't like is Ed Miliband. As a member of parliment and former leader of the labour party, Ed Miliband has a specific and certain way that he speaks and doesn't really vary his voice when it comes to pitch, tone and volume (unless he's in an debate/argument with another politician). He uses a lot of emphasis when he talks, however it can sometimes he will use it way too much and it will become really annoying quite quickly.
